1. Economic Offences Wing (EOW) – Police Unit

2. Acts Commonly Associated With “EOW”

  • Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018

    • Enacted to deter and take action against economic offenders who evade Indian law by staying outside the country.

    • Enables authorities to confiscate properties of such fugitives and ensure they face legal proceedings.

  • Economic Offences (Inapplicability of Limitation) Act, 1974

    • Removes any limitation period for prosecuting individuals involved in economic offenses.

    • Ensures that serious financial crimes can be pursued regardless of when they were committed.
